How many Experts would like the compensation split increase by achieving certain levels i.e. 1000 accepts, 2000 etc?
This would be a major motivation factor for Experts to stay connected etc. 50./50 to start but some increase in split percentage to reward success is part of most sales models. The better one does , the more they are compensated.

1000 to 2000 is too high. I've been on here for several years and it will take me many more years to reach 500.

Even if the compensation split is not increased, it would be valuable for us to be able to see what the split is for each question. Since we are not allowed to discuss the split with customers, it is sometimes difficult to see if a question is going to be worth our time. I have emailed mods and posted in the expert forum about this with no response.

I would love to see the compensation split increase as we achieve higher levels. In the writing/homework field, sometimes we put hours of labor into an answer, and receive a relatively small amount of compensation for that response when the customer has actually paid a commensurate amount for the question overall. As a result, many of us either must allow questions to go unanswered because we cannot justify the amount of time for the amount of compensation, or we find ourselves asking the customer if they mind bonusing (which I personally hate having to do). If my compensation percentage were higher, I wouldn't have to do either.

Actually, going a step further, I think we should also return to a system where we clearly have split amounts. It is no longer true that compensation splits are straightforward, and there is no longer any way to receive the information. It is only relatively recently that I cannot see original question prices nor split amounts when I get a detailed earnings report.

From a business standpoint, I don't see why this would make sense for the company. In my opinion, the hardest part of any business is sales, which is why the field usually gets progressively higher commission spilts. If spending money in any form, including higher salary does not contribute towards higher sales, then why do it?
I think what would make sense instead is that if people generate sales by posting the widget on their personal website/blog, then those people might be good candidates for progressively higher splits. I think every company in existance would agree to paying someone progressively larger amounts to someone who independently increases the businesses' income.
