Policy change about experts jumping in on each other
Other question and expert sites on the web do not allow experts to jump in on other experts unless they are reporting a wrong answer which makes sense. Your policy of "anything goes" for the most part can lead to the problems, especially when the question volume is low. I would like to suggest a change in the policy. If the other expert has something to add then an Assist would be recommended and only if you are reporting a WRONG answer can you jump in on another expert . Leaving it up to the discretion of the experts is not working for some and makes the site look unprofessional. You could add an incentive that an assist if it is useful in getting an Accept gives the expert who assisted half of the proceeds.

Totally agree that once an expert posts info requests and is working with a client.it is off limits unless expert opts out or is totally wrong. We have one expert in hvac who will watch the Peer Conversations following expert's troubleshooting and jump in right before expert posts answer and demand to be rated.

Agreed, this makes the site look unprofessional.
It even looks unprofessional when I have to submit an incorrect answer report because the first expert has NO clue what they are talking about. And worse, they are suggesting something damaging and harmful.
How do you professionally say " Do not do what the other guy suggested or else you will lose everything ".. You can say it professionally, but the customer will always know the first person almost walked them off a bridge.
Incorrect reports and the peer review system need to be entirely overhauled. But for now, it would be better if THE ONLY WAY someone could post on a question that another expert was involved in, is if they were filing an incorrect report.
Because thats the way it should be.
